Originally designed as F14 wing sweep actuator tester can be adopted for other aircraft and ball screws rotary mechanical testing.

Description/Function of unit

Capable of testing linear and rotary actuator with 52,000LB tension compression load.

The test bed is a 16" x 8½" I beam 138½" L with a hydraulic load cylinder mounted at one end and hydraulic pump motor mounted at the other end.

Test set will require a small hydraulic power supply for the ball screw motor and the load circuit. Unit is currently set up for Mil-H-5606 or equal fluid. (Skydrol on request)

The control panel consists of the following;

  • 1 Torque test gear box valve
  • 1 52, 000 lb compression valve
  • 1 52,000 lb tension valve
  • 1 Cylinder extend or retract 4 way valve
  • 1 Actuator extend or retract 4 way valve
  • 1 3000 PSI cylinder pressure 4" gauge
  • 1 Overhaul test valve
  • 1 6000 PSI pump pressure 6" gauge
